Don’t be so hard on yourself. The game is “…Iru!” / “。。。いる！” for Playstation. Published by Takara in 1998. It’s pretty great, sort of like Echo Night meets Clock Tower. Here are some older posts that I made when I was dumber and worse at making gifs. 

Part of the reason I’m revisiting it is in memoriam of Underground-Gamer, as I probably would have never known about it (among countless other games that have been on this blog) if not for that website.

yeah, it’s definitely one of the most incredible looking games i’ve come across in a long time. I’m trying my best.

I’ve been playing the PC-98 and MSX versions. There’s one for PC88 also, but I can’t find it anywhere.
